What is a March-a-Thon?

A fundraiser for our EAHS marching band! Students march 50 laps around the field to raise money for our program. This year, we are raising funds to help offset the cost of band camp! Fifty percent of the donations affiliated with a student will go towards their New Orleans trip contributions.

  • WHEN: Friday, August 8 from  8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • WHERE: Easton Area High School band field
  • DONATION PERIOD: Friday, August 1-Friday, August 8
  • WHY: The money we raise during this event will help to offset the costs of maintaining our instrumental program and ensuring we can afford future years many wonderful opportunities. Specifically this year, This year, we are raising funds to help offset the cost of band camp! Fifty percent of the donations affiliated with a student will go towards their New Orleans trip contributions. Our goal for this fundraiser is $7,500! We need everyone’s help to achieve this goal!

We Need YOU

We are asking every student to find sponsors for this event! If every student found between $15-25 in sponsorships, the IMA would surpass our goal! It costs the IMA approximately $80,000 annually to support instrumental music at Easton Area High School. This money goes towards the following:

  1. Marching Band (including band camp, parades, competitions)
  2. Strings Camp (including guest clinicians, food)
  3. Guest Clinicians throughout the year for all students
  4. Equipment purchases (as needed to support the growing program)
  5. Instrumental Music Banquet & Senior Recital
  6. Meals (at various points throughout the year)
  7. Scholarships for graduating seniors (six $1,000 scholarships)
  8. Performances Tours for the Instrumental Music Department  

How can I donate?

  • ONLINE: Donations can be made online (optionally, when entering your credit card information, please indicate in the “Write a note (Optional)” section of PayPal the name of the band student on behalf of whom you’re donating).
  • CASH/CHECK: If sending a check, please include the band student’s name in the memo line; if sending cash, please write the band student’s name on the envelope or include a note with the student’s name on it.
